General Marius Kade was thrown out of the army for war crimes. He took his best people with him – and the weapons too.

Today his private army, the *Iron Jackals*, occupies ports, mines and islands and sells them to the highest bidder. The Security Council has set up a strike force: one squadron, one carrier, one mission. You are **Kestrel One**.

**Rotor Command** is an isometric helicopter action game in the spirit of the classic 16-bit era. Fly low over deserts, jungles, cities, polar ice and open sea, blow up air defences, rescue hostages with your winch, escort convoys – and keep an eye on your fuel gauge.

Features

- **10 hand-crafted missions** across 10 regions, each with its own landscape, objectives and tricks: rescue hostages, defend outposts, intercept fleeing convoys, escort your own trucks, raid an airbase while jets scramble for take-off.

- **A story campaign** with briefings by Colonel Harlan Voss and Lt. Mira Okafor, a world map, intercepted transmissions and a full ending sequence.

- **A real final boss:** General Kade's prototype gunship, the *Black Jackal* – armoured, with rocket fans, guided missiles and diving attacks you have to read and dodge.

- **Varied set pieces:** missile silos that only open on a cycle, a polar night lit by searchlights and a blizzard on the clock, artillery barrages marked by red warning circles, a city full of civilians where every stray rocket counts.

- **Air threats that force you to act:** enemy gunships circle and hunt you, jets streak across the screen, guided missiles are only stopped by your automatic flares.

- **Resource management the old-school way:** limited fuel, ammo and rockets, one spare helicopter, only enough spare parts at base for about three quarters of a full repair per mission, and a single armour kit hidden on each map.

- **Two difficulty levels**, chosen before every mission: *Normal* or *Hard* (half hull, only three flares).

- Isometric pixel art, original sound effects, checkpoints and progress saved in your browser.

Controls

| Action | Input |

Flares are released automatically when a guided missile closes in.

Tips

- Destroy radar stations first – they call in reinforcements and help enemy missiles.

- Red circles on the ground mean an artillery shell is about to land. Keep moving.

- Red lines on the water mean the *Black Jackal* is about to fire or dive. Get out of the line.

- Look for the white crate with the red cross – it is the only armour kit on the map.

Good to know

- Best played on a desktop or laptop with keyboard and mouse in a current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.
